About DPA
About Directly Printed Aligners
DPA is one of the leading companies in the clear aligner field, with vast experience in dentistry. We rely on the latest digital manufacturing technologies, supported by expert orthodontists who follow up on every case. This technology is powered by Graphy.
Key Features
Why DPA aligners are different
Every feature is engineered — not marketed.
No Attachments Needed
DPA aligners achieve tooth movement without bonded attachments in most cases. No drilling, no bonding, no residue — fully non-invasive.
Change Every 7 Days
Shape memory material keeps consistent force all week, enabling faster stage progression than 2-week thermoformed protocols.
Up to 50% Faster Treatment
Continuous shape-memory force keeps teeth moving throughout wear. Clinical data shows up to 50% shorter treatment time.
Warm Water Activation
Soak 30 seconds in lukewarm water — it softens, fits perfectly into undercuts, then hardens at body temperature. No forced seating.
Gentle, Biologically Safe
Unlike thermoformed trays with heavy initial spikes, DPA applies light continuous force — within biological limits, pain-free movement.
Customized Per Tooth
Each aligner is printed with variable thickness — thicker where force is needed, thinner where flex is required. Impossible with sheets.
Exact Occlusal Reproduction
Direct 3D printing bypasses model fabrication, eliminating cumulative errors. Submillimeter-accurate fit on every tooth surface.
Heat-Disinfectable at 100°C
Graphy aligners survive boiling water sterilization — PET/PETG cannot. Non-porous surface resists bacteria and staining.
Optically Transparent
Printed from optically clear ta28 resin — no whitening or yellowing under normal conditions. Truly invisible throughout treatment.
Shape Memory Technology
How shape memory technology works
Direct 3D Printing
Printed tooth-by-tooth — no thermoforming. Precise thickness per tooth for optimal orthodontic force.
Shape Memory Effect
ta28 recovers its programmed shape at body temperature. Warm-water dip for 30s gives a perfect fit.
Light & Continuous Force
Gentle continuous force instead of heavy spikes — reduces pain and improves outcomes.
Adjustable Strain & Resilience
Per-tooth thickness adjustment. Shape Memory Aligner resists full-arch deformation when bent.

Treated Cases
Conditions we treat
Our orthodontic team reviews every case before manufacturing.
Crowding
Insufficient room to fit all teeth, leading to plaque accumulation.
Cross Bite
Upper and lower jaws are misaligned.
Over Jet
Upper anterior teeth protrude excessively in front of lower front teeth.
Over Bite
Upper teeth abnormally cover the lower teeth.
Open Bite
Excessive space between upper and lower front teeth.
Spacing
Wide spaces between teeth that can cause gum problems.
Patient Guide
How to use your DPA aligners
Inserting
- Soften in lukewarm water for 30 seconds
- Push gently over front teeth
- Apply equal pressure on back molars until it snaps in
- Use aligner chewies if provided
Wearing
- Wear at least 22 hours daily
- Remove only when eating or brushing
- First 48 hours are critical — wear consistently
- Change to the next aligner every 7 days
Cleaning
- Rinse with warm (not hot) water after each removal
- Sterilize daily in warm water for 1 minute
- Store in the provided case when not in use
- Never use denture cleaner or mouthwash on aligners
Important: Always brush after meals before reinserting. If pain or mouth ulcers don't resolve within a few days, contact your orthodontist immediately.
Patient Safety InformationUnderstanding How Your Body May Respond to Aligner TreatmentClick to read full details
As with any medical device placed in the oral cavity, clear aligners may cause tissue responses in a small number of patients. The information below helps you and your clinician identify, prevent, and manage these reactions early and effectively.
Material Sensitivity
Hypersensitivity Reaction- Mild: roughness, itching, or ulcers on the oral mucosa — consult your orthodontist if persisting beyond 3 days.
- Severe (Emergency): progressive swelling of oral tissues, difficulty swallowing, or breathing difficulty — discontinue immediately and seek urgent medical care.
- Patients with a prior history of allergic reactions to plastic materials or dental devices.
- Individuals with sensitive skin, atopic conditions, or pre-existing oral infections.
- Patients concurrently exposed to MDA or HDI compounds in occupational settings.
Graphy TA-28 resin undergoes oxygen-free polymerization — eliminating residual uncured oligomers that are the primary source of allergen release in conventional thermoformed aligners. This significantly reduces the risk of Type IV delayed hypersensitivity reactions.
- Discontinue aligner use immediately upon onset of moderate or severe symptoms.
- Administer hydrocortisone injection or topical corticosteroid as appropriate.
- Saltwater rinses and tebodont gel for mucosal relief.
- Do not resume aligner therapy without clinical reassessment.
Traumatic Ulcers
Mechanical IrritationTraumatic ulcers arise from mechanical irritation by aligner margins that are inadequately finished, or from attachment pillars with rough or sharp edges pressing against soft tissue during function and parafunction.
All DPA aligners are 3D-printed with smooth, anatomically contoured margins — eliminating the trimming inaccuracies common in thermoformed trays. Attachment pillars undergo mandatory polishing protocols before aligner delivery.
- Inspect the gingival margin and buccal mucosa at each clinical review.
- Report any persistent redness, blanching, or ulceration at the gum line to your orthodontist promptly.
- Do not attempt to trim or adjust the aligner at home.
Topical anaesthetic gel for symptomatic relief. If the ulcer does not resolve within 5–7 days of aligner removal, a clinical assessment is required to rule out other pathology.
Stomatitis
Hygiene-Related ReactionStomatitis associated with aligner use is predominantly caused by poor intraoral hygiene or inadequate aligner disinfection, leading to accumulation of bacterial biofilm, Candida species, and food residues beneath the aligner.
- Brush and floss after every meal — without exception — before reinserting aligners.
- Sterilize aligners daily by immersing in hot water (100°C) for 1 minute.
- Use of an ultrasonic cleaner is strongly recommended for complete biofilm removal.
- Never store aligners in a wet or unclosed case — a dry, sealed case prevents microbial growth.
- Maintain adequate hydration throughout treatment — saliva flow is a natural antibacterial defense.
- A daily multivitamin supporting immune function (Vitamins C, D, and Zinc) is advisable during aligner therapy, particularly in patients prone to oral ulceration.
- Patients on immunosuppressants, steroids, or antibiotics should inform their orthodontist before starting treatment.
- Warm saltwater rinses (1 teaspoon per 250 ml) four times daily.
- Tebodont gel applied to affected mucosa after meals.
- Pause aligner use until mucosal inflammation fully resolves.
- If candidal infection is suspected (white plaques, burning sensation), antifungal therapy may be indicated — consult your physician.
If you have a known history of allergies — particularly to plastics, dental materials, or skin sensitivities — please inform your orthodontist before beginning aligner treatment. This allows your clinician to take appropriate precautions from the outset.
Tissue reactions during aligner therapy, while uncommon, are a recognized and manageable clinical occurrence. If a reaction does arise, it is typically mild, resolves promptly with appropriate care, and does not necessarily mean treatment cannot continue. Your orthodontist will guide you through the right steps.
